West Rebels Beat William Blount 59-14 on Senior Night

William Blount honored 21 seniors before kickoff at Mike White field, but the night turned rough once the game started. West built an early lead and kept pulling away, taking a 45-14 advantage into halftime on the strength of a strong ground game and efficient passing. The Governors never found an answer in the second half, and West closed it out with a 59-14 final.
The first-half stretch will be what people remember most, as West scored repeatedly while William Blount struggled to slow them down on either side of the ball. William Blount did find the end zone twice to reach its 14 points, keeping some fight in the game even as the deficit grew.
With the loss, William Blount fell to 5-3 on the season. The result puts a dent in the team's playoff hopes as the year winds down, though the Governors will look to regroup for their remaining games.
