Governors Blast Kingston 13-0 On Wilson's Walk-Off Slam
Gov Nation Network · April 4, 2026
William Blount jumped on Kingston early and never let up, run-ruling the Kings 13-0 at Charlie Puleo Field. The Govs scored in every inning they batted, piling up walks, timely hits and a couple of home runs while Mason Mikles and the pitching staff kept Kingston off the board all night.
The big inning came in the bottom of the first when William Blount sent a stream of hitters to the plate with the bases loaded multiple times, turning walks and a bloop hit into a 4-0 lead before the visitors could catch their breath. Mark Sackerman added a leadoff double in the second that scored on a Kingston error, and Noah Hardin followed a Ty Goins double in the third with a two-run home run to make it 7-0. Sackerman came up big again with a two-run double later that inning to push the score to 9-0.
The finish belonged to Gavin Wilson, whose three-run home run in the fourth inning ended the game early under the run rule and sent the home crowd home happy at 13-0. Lucas Crisp also drove in a pair of runs on the night. William Blount was scheduled to play Eagleville the following afternoon.
